BLANCHE D. PRICE PARK
Tobyhanna Township is fortunate to have a beautiful park located in Pocono Pines, off of State Avenue. The park offers picnic areas as well as a well-equipped playground. There are ball fields, basketball courts and tennis courts. The Main Lodge Building is located in the park and is popular to Township residents for rental in the summer.
The building may be rented at the cost of $250 with a $150 security deposit for any Friday, Saturday or Sunday and a rental fee of $75.00 with a $150.00 security deposit for any Monday through Thursday. You must bring proof of residency and register at the Township office any Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. A deposit is required to hold your reservation.
Monroe County Recreation will offer a Children’s Summer Recreation Program for 6 weeks from June 28 through August 6 2010 between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM at the Main Lodge. For further information, you may contact them at (570) 992-4343.

Summer Swim Program at the Tobyhanna Township Pool
The Township of Tobyhanna is holding registration for its’ Summer 2010 Swim Program from June 16 through June 30 2010. You can register between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM at the Township Government Building located on State Avenue, Pocono Pines Pennsylvania (570) 646-1212 or (570) 839-8632
The Swim Program will consist of one (1) five (5) week session. A Skill assessment class will be held on Monday, June 28 2010 at 9:30 AM. The session begins on Wednesday, June 30 and ends on Wednesday, August 4. There are no swim lessons on Monday, July 5. There is a Beginner Level program starting at 9:30 AM and an Intermediate Beginner program starting at 10:00 AM. Lessons are Monday and Wednesday mornings only.
The class schedules are subject to change depending upon the volume of registration. The cost for this five (5) week session is $90.00 per child for Tobyhanna Township residents and $100.00 per child for Tunkhannock Township residents.
Class size is limited; therefore, registration will be on a first come, first served basis. PROOF OF RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED.
